Kaylee Brown - Personal Leadership Plan

Kaylee Dawn Brown : Click to view my resume

This blog showcases my personal learning, growth and development through the Interdisciplinary Leadership Minor at Eastern Michigan University. Each main page has different tabs that summarize one of the core classes in completion of the minor located on the right side of the webpage. The first page from LEAD 201 focuses on my first introspection and internal evaluation of my values and understanding of leadership as an idea. The next page from LEAD 301 focuses on cultural competence and understanding how to work in different groups with different organizational cultures. The most recent page is from LEAD 401 which completes this, with a chance to do a capstone experience in the greater community and apply the knowledge and skills learned previously.

My leadership vision has to do with the legacy I would like to leave someday. I would like to be remembered as someone who put others first but was still able to complete their goals, as a servant leader would. I would like to be remembered as someone who was stable, reliable and stood true while still being able to adapt to change, as an authentic leader would. More than anything, I want to help be a transformational leader who helps others see the leader within them. I plan to do this by learning people's lived experiences and helping to model the way and encourage their heart as they move forward in their own leadership journey.
